Discipleship

Discipleship is at the core of God's will for us here on earth. It's not just instruction — it's a demonstration of how to walk as a follower of Christ.

The Mission

Go and make disciples.

When Jesus gave the commission to the disciples He told them "go ye therefore and make disciples." In Matthew 28, Jesus charges us to make disciples, baptize them and teach them to observe all of His commands.

Discipleship is more than just instruction — it's a demonstration of how to walk as a follower of Christ. That is why we believe so strongly in mentor relationships. These relationships not only provide instruction but a living demonstration of faithful Christian life. These mentored relationships grow both the mentor and the mentee. Everyone grows.

Every believer is charged with making disciples who can then make disciples themselves. God's intention is multiplication.

Discipleship is about growing up and maturing as a follower of Christ and finding your place in the body of Christ. Though we use books and materials to help guide you in the process, discipleship is ultimately about our hearts and character being transformed through an intimate relationship with the Father, by the Holy Spirit, through the Lord Jesus Christ.

How It Works

The Discipleship Process.

Designed to be walked through with a mentor, this process grows mature Christian living, strengthens your devotion, and deepens your understanding of the faith.

Find a Mentor

The mentor/mentee relationship should be as organic as possible. The best scenario is that the mentee selects a mentor, so that there is permission granted to hold them accountable. Choose someone who has experience beyond your own.

If you need help finding a mentor, contact church leadership and we will help you connect with someone.

Attend Weekly Gatherings

ManChurch, Awaken, and Sunday Service are great places to meet and get to know people.

Join a Power Team

Serve on Sunday morning. It gives you access to meet new people who are already invested in the church.

Join a Life Group

Life Groups are the heartbeat of our church. It's where relationships are built and life is lived.

Submit a Mentor Request Form

Once you've identified your mentor, the mentor submits a Discipleship Mentor Request form to officially begin the process with church leadership.

Purchase Discipleship Book 1 and Begin

Purchase the Discipleship 1 workbook and begin working through the material. The book includes daily assignments designed to build consistent habits in the Word.

You and your mentor should meet weekly or biweekly to discuss any thoughts and questions that arise. These meetings are crucial to building relationship. They should be a place of transparency where the mentor and mentee share openly and pray for each other.

Complete Book 1, Then Purchase Book 2

After completing Discipleship Book 1, purchase Book 2 and continue the process with your mentor. Each book builds on the last, deepening your walk and your relationship.

Before You Begin

Count the cost.

Discipleship is a genuine commitment. Here is what it will require of you.

Make time to study and time to meet with your mentor regularly.

Be consistent with your daily devotional time in the Word.

Be coachable and accountable — open to growth and correction.

Attend, serve, and tithe faithfully in your local church.

Require discipline — discipleship is not passive, it is intentional.
